Good morning! I think it's always interesting to learn about the person behind the computer and paper so today I'm going to share a little about myself.

My name is Mindy and I am the sole owner and creator at Paper Creations by Mindy. All of the work you see is created by me personally (with the help of my cameo machine of course)
I started scrapbooking back around 2004 using Creative Memories projects. I started with my kitchen table, a paper trimmer and a small container of paper and stickers.
From there, I grew into Close To My Heart where I was a consultant for 6 years.
(2006)
I had a daughter, my first child, in 2006 and she became my centerpiece of my scrapbook pages. I was fortunate enough to be able to stay home with her for 3 years. During that time, I held 4 clubs and 2 workshops each month. Once I went back to the workforce, I had to give up the clubs and sort of took a break from the consultant status.
(2010)
In 2009 I became pregnant with my second child. During the last month of pregnancy, I was on bedrest and that is where I discovered the world of paper piecing! I would research for hours what everyone is doing, how they did it and the supplies needed. So after my little guy was born in 2010, I set to work to practice and have been doing it ever since!
I gave up my consultant status with Close To My Heart as I discovered the world of Echo Park, Doodlebug Designs and so many more other paper companies! lol.
I played around with a few custom orders for piecings while doing my own books and in the Spring of 2012, I opened my website for premade paper piecings. Also in the Spring of last year, I was given a fabulous opportunity to be a part of the
Little Scraps of Heaven Design Team. I love every minute of it! (especially since I adore her designs!) Fabulous artists which have become great friends!
I was in and out of the workforce and now am back at home with my children. My son, Dalton (now 2) has been diagnosed with Autism so my husband and I decided it best for me to be home with him to work with him and his therapists. It also gives me more time with my daughter at night with her homework.
I absolutely enjoy creating the paper piecings and detailing the faces! I've always enjoyed the world of art and this is a perfect fit for me. It's also something I can do out of my home which is perfect for our situation.

I get the joy of working with my children during the day and then starting at 8pm at night I get to start working with my "business" products. So if you see me posting at midnight.. it's because that is during my "work" hours ... lol.
Every couple months, I get to sneak away to a scrapbook retreat to work on scrapbook pages and visit with friends.
