Sorry for the late post. I caught a bug last week that turned into bronchitis. I've been taking it easy for the past few days waiting for the antibiotics to kick in.

I was having an issue with making a bracket so I improvised.

Instead of the bracket I used a banner from the Banner Collection.  My Squirrel and title is from the Being Squirrelly Collection. These are so darn adorable!

Welcome to another Design Team Monday and Happy Memorial Day! This week's challenge is a card sketch challenge. I hope you will join us for a chance to win some free files from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs! 

This is a graduation card I made for my daughter. She is graduating Kindergarten soon. They don't actually have a ceremony at her school but I still wanted to give her a little something to show her how proud we are of her. I used white for the gown because that's the color I wore when I graduated Kindergarten lol.

Design Team Monday - Make It Large!

Today is Design Team Monday over at Little Scraps of Heaven and what that means is each Monday there will be a new challenge posted. Play along and have a chance to win $20 in FREE patterns!

This week's challenge is "Make It Large". I have to say this is one of my favorites! I loved making it large! It was a little weird at first but once everything came together it turned out so great - I made more layouts with this challenge that I'll be posting later this week.

 I made this page for my daughter's preschool picture. I was so excited once I made it - I started to make more for each year.

Great Outdoors

I have a little catching up to do on my blog. I already created a layout for the scenery challenge over at Little Scraps of Heaven Designs but this idea popped into my head and I just had to put it down on paper. 

For this layout I used the following files from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs: The Great Outdoors, Black Bear Set, Boy on a Limb, To The Moon.

A Little Mermaid

Today is Design Team Monday over at Little Scraps of Heaven and what that means is each Monday there will be a new challenge posted. Play along and have a chance to win $20 in FREE patterns!

For my scenery I created the ocean with the Mermaid and her friends! This is all from the Mermaid Paradise pattern collection. 

The tail and water is decorated with stickles.

LSHD Layout Sketch Challenge #4

Card Sketch #1 LSHD

Playing along with the Little Scraps of Heaven challenge this week which was a card sketch. I actually took the sketch and converted it to a 9x9 page that I'm going to add to my daughter's small book.

You can read about the details of the challenge HERE.

I used the Hoo Loves You file from Little Scraps of Heaven. I will post close-ups of the sentiments tomorrow.

LSHD Sketch Challenge #1 and Packer fan!

Little Scraps of Heaven was having a Sketch Challenge this past week. I was able to sit down and put a layout together for it (last minute of course lol) and I am pretty excited by the turn out! For further details to participate in upcoming challenges be sure to check out their blog HERE.

I've been making some Packer players for custom orders and I'm been itching to create a layout. This challenge gave me the perfect opportunity!

Football player pattern is from the Football Anyone collection at Little Scraps of Heaven Designs. I just altered the color choices to fit the team I needed.

Santa paper bag album

We are challenging YOU! This week at Scraptastical Kreations we are challenging you to take something from your home and decorate it. Can be anything! Empty cans... picture frames, baby food jars... bottle caps... whatever you can find to decorate it. Then head on over to the fanpage and show us what you did - we'd love to see it!

I made a paper bag album this week for the challenge. These are so cute and so fun to make. You just take a couple paper bags (doesn't matter what color) and cut the bottoms out. Once I had the bottom out, I held them all together and trimmed the edges so they were all the same length - then folded them in half. Poof! There's your album! All you have to do is punch holes on the side for the hooks to go through to hold it all together. 

I went a step further and one of my bags I trimmed the page down so it was only about 1/2 of a page. Those work good for journaling or somewhere to add a cute paper piecing.

Onto the show!

Files used were purchased from Scraptastical Kreations. I used the Dear Santa file to decorate.

Who doesn't like stripes and polka dots?! Best combo ever and there were so many directions I could have went with on this.... but... I decided to play with some fall stuff.
